Mama Bear Apologetics Book Review

Title and Author: Mama Bear Apologetics by Hillary Morgan Ferrer
Length: 287 pages
Overview: Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform to the pattern of this world. But the problem is that it can be hard to discern what the patterns of the world are and how to respond to them. You really have to know your stuff to be able to engage in conversations about culture these days! That's where this book comes in.
Mama Bear Apologetics was written to help equip moms to discuss and educate their children on many cultural lies that they will hear in school and/or from peers. It is written in a simple way that is easy to understand and apply. My kids aren't really old enough to be facing many of the topics covered in the book yet, but I found it so helpful just to educate me on how to think and speak biblically about them.
Read this book if: I know this book is written to mom, but I think everyone could benefit from it. Youth leaders, mentors, parents, aunts, coaches, etc. If you are interacting with kids ages 8-18, they are probably having to navigate these topics. Grab a copy of this book to help guide them toward a biblical worldview.
Favorite Quote: "Having a biblical worldview doesn't mean that we just attach Bible verses to a statement and call it a day. We should realize by now that anyone can take a verse out of context to justify their own agenda. Not only must we know Scripture, but we need to know God, and know the heart of God. The heart of God will never conflict with the Word of God, but the words of God can be twisted, as happened in the garden of Eden."
